Please allow me to introduce myself...
My name is Rob Beattie and I am the new Regional Sales Manager for Barco. My current territory includes Illinois and Wisconsin.
My career began in design engineering, working mainly in the aerospace field. I had a unique opportunity to become a Product Manager for a major machine tool company out of Connecticut, which allowed me to work closely with distribution networks.
As with any new position there is a transition process, which involves learning the gamut of new products and applications. As with any successful position, there is a constant transition process as new concepts and designs are created every day.
I am extremely excited about my new position at Barco. I have a strong grasp of the product line and its many components. I have set some goals which are rather high, but achievable. During the 1st quarter of 2006, I plan on visiting every distributor in my territory. I strive to strengthen the foundation between Barco and our distribution networks to build successful business relationships.
I look forward to a long career with Barco, and I look forward to the challenges brought to me each and every day.
Barco recently completed a week long sales meeting discussing the many different sales & marketing aspects of Barco. The number one question asked was "How can Barco improve the presentation for our distribution network?" this led to a couple specific questions Barco needed to answer.
The first question "If Barco only has a half hour in front of the sales force how can we utilize this time efficiently?" The second question" should we redesign the presentation to be more technical or application driven?" Well both questions kind of answered themselves. Barco, in most situations, has only a limited amount of time in front of our distributors, and Barco needs to have the sales force direct their attention to notice where the Rotary Unions can be found.
As 2006 goes through its paces, we at Barco will also. The presentation is completed and is targeted to let the sales force determine where to find Rotary Unions out in the field. The Regional Sales Managers and Barco Representatives will be available to present to you, your people or your customers.
Thank you for your time reading this brief introduction. I hope to meet each and every one of you in the time to come.
