Barco’s network of worldwide distributors continues to grow.

The 102nd annual meeting of the Association of German Pulp and Paper Chemists and Engineers took place again this year in Wiesbaden, Germany. The event ran from the 27th to 29th June at the Rhein-Main-Hallen. Once again it was very well attended with the two floors of the hall taken up by exhibitors.

Barco was represented by both myself and Edgar Kraus, our German distributor and our stand was in a prominent position on the first floor. As usual, the exhibition was a chance for friends and colleagues old and new to catch up on business share a coffee and discuss business proposals.

Zellcheming sees a wide range of companies and all facets of the pulp and paper industry are covered. Some of the services represented included fibre recycling, filtration and all kinds of paper, tissue and board machines. More specific services ranged from pumps and valves to machine drives and piping systems, while other exhibitors concentrated on paper technology and quality control. The rotary union side of the industry was well covered, with three of our major competitors also in attendance. Hope you liked the Barco catalogues fellas!

With this in mind Barco’s presence at this event is always important. It is always vital to keep the name in front of the customer and to continue to meet the needs and demands of such a big industry.
