Gentlemen, start your engines !
As we go to press with this edition of the Barco newsletter, we are getting news of a successful run on a newly developed SFL coolant union. This particular union was designed for a large manufacturer of small engines with a very difficult application request.
Several months ago we received a call from a customer who was having ongoing failures with a Rocky union from Japan. This was supplied as OEM original equipment, fitted to a drawbar on a Mori Sieki machining center. Due to poor running times, lengthy delivery schedules and cost exorbitant prices, they were looking for a domestic replacement.
The customer had called our two biggest competitors without luck and turned to Barco to deliver a union that would work. After researching the application, the engineering department knew what was needed and developed the SK-1325. This 1/8” SFL coolant union is based on the same technology as our larger SFL’s, that have been a benchmark for several years in the auto industry.
The Barco SK-1325 has out-performed any of the previous unions put into place. At one-third of the cost, zero failures-to-date and overnight delivery available, we know we have a winner. We also have a very happy customer.
There are many users of what is deemed an unreliable union by so many of our customers. We now have an answer to help improve their machine uptime and reliability.
